I didn't find Amici's food to be anything to rave about. And they just kept raising their prices. I know all about rising food costs, but don't slip a menu under my door and then when I call for a delivery three days later raise all of your prices considerably.

The food from Amici's Pizza is good stuff. You can't find a better Rigatoni bolognese or homemade chicken soup around here.

Hands down, best Italian take out in town.

Hope this closing is an error/rumor as well.

Forest Hills 72, hope you filter these "closings" better -- you're going to hurt a lot of businesses.

HAYLO!!! We were absolutely crushed when we heard Theater Cafe was closed because that's where our family goes to have our deiish lunches. We decide to try and see if the rumors were really true today (Sat. Mar.22) after going to the Easter fest at PS 101. THEATER CAFE IS NOT CLOSING and IS NOT FOR SALE. We ate there today and I asked our waitress if it was true. She said last week they closed to do something with the kitchen but they were not closing and are open for business.
After hearing the good news, we decided to go more often so that it doesn't come true one day. Just wanted to pass the good news so everyone else will still patronize this establishment. YAY!!

I am so sad to hear about this, I really enjoyed going there, especially in the good weather when you could sit outside and have coffee. It wasnt crowded and the people were very nice. A real loss for the area.

Amici's Pizza on the western end of Austin Street (near the 112th Precinct) also met its demise according to the Queens Central board. But I'm not mourning its loss because they charged too much (compared with competitors) for a mediocre product.
